Hanyu Liu is a postdoctoral associate carrying out theoretical and computational studies in support of current EFree projects and also contributing to the development of a new project focusing on hydrogen-rich materials. Hanyu is also interested in studying the properties of materials at extreme conditions using molecular dynamics and crystal structure predictions.

A team of experimental and computational scientists led by the Geophysical Laboratory’s Tim Strobel and Venkata Bhadram have synthesized a long sought-after form of titanium nitride, Ti3N4, which has promising mechanical and optoelectronic properties.
